Calling all HOME Project volunteers! Here's a cool opportunity to get creative and glaze some bowls which will be donated to the fundraising efforts of Milwaukee Empty Bowls. Please find below a message from Jean Wells who works with this amazing organization:
Hello Bowl Makers!
Murray Hill Pottery works has set the date for volunteers to come in and help finish glazing the bowls that were made in May at the Bowl-A-Thon. No experience is necessary to help, just a willingness to get a little dirty!
It will be Wednesday, August 24 from 1pm - 8pm at Murray Hill Pottery Works, 2456 N Murray Avenue. Here is the link to our Google Sign Up Sheet to let us know when you can come. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JE1WIucB4rknJKBg_BQfa7_B2nOINLAZdUtJ7jvfYSc/edit?usp=sharing
We are usually short on help between the 1pm and 5pm time frame because of work schedules, and like to have people stay and help clean up around 7:30. Please let us know if you can come by signing up on the above link.
The date of the big Event is Sunday, October 9th from 11am - 2pm at the MSOE Kern Center. Follow us on Facebook to help get the word out. Bowls will be $25 this year and Bowls made by children will be $10.
Hope you can join us!
