Some of our HOME Project team members joined Dr. Diehr for a night of fun at her pottery studio and they're ready to show off their bowl-making skills with the world! Each year the HOME Project makes soup bowls that are donated to the Empty Bowls event in Milwaukee. We'd like to thank all of you for coming and participating in the production of 25 bowls.
That's $625 raised for food pantries for the homeless of Milwaukee. That's awesome!! 👏🏻
Hello World changers, HOME students, and good dirty fun lovers!
Mark your calendars and plan to join us for our 2017 fundraiser, happening Sunday, October 8. We look forward to returning for a fifth year to the Kern Center on the Milwaukee School of Engineering Campus and are grateful to MSOE for all their generous support!
19th Annual Milwaukee Empty Bowls Event

Kern Center – MSOE | 1245 N. Broadway, Milwaukee
Bowls: $25 each - includes 2 soup tickets
Kid-made Bowls: $10 each - includes 2 soup tickets
FREE Parking in the Viets Field structure (across the street from the Kern Center, below the athletic field) will once again be during our event! Free Sunday street parking is also available, but a bit more limited.
Since 1999, Milwaukee Empty Bowls has donated $704,000 to help feed those in need in the Milwaukee metro area. More than 95% of the funds raised during this perennially popular event – held around World Food Day – go directly to aid the hungry in our community.
Guests at our October event have their choice from a collection of more than 2,000 ceramic bowls handcrafted and donated by local artists, teachers and students.
Soups prepared by local chefs are served with bread and other refreshments. Some of the area’s top musicians entertain guests throughout the day. (Check back here or at our website as we continue to update information on this year's restaurants and supporters!) Guests take their bowls home to serve as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in our community.
With the involvement and support of MSOE, local businesses and nearly 300 volunteers, proceeds from this year’s event will benefit several agencies in the Milwaukee area. Meet our 2017 recipient organization: Milwaukee Rescue Mission, Fondy Food Center, Repairers of the Breach, The Gathering, Milwaukee Christian Center, Guest House of Milwaukee, and Project Concern of Cudahy-St. Francis
We look forward to seeing you on October 9!
Thank you for supporting Milwaukee Empty Bowls!
